Autism Speech Delay Unraveled

For many people with autism vocalizing each word can be visibly difficult. Now, scientists say they may know why. Using a helmet-type device, researchers identified brain waves unique to individuals with autism. They say these brain waves cause a delay in the brain’s processing of each individual sound. Researchers hope that the finding could enable children to be diagnosed with autism as young as 1-year-old, reports the Associated Press. To read more click here.
