School District Delays Services, Faces Class Action Suit

Jamie Stokes failed first grade three times before officials in the Milwaukee Public Schools evaluated her to determine that she has a cognitive delay. Now, Stokes is at the center of a class action lawsuit representing students like her who received delayed special education services. A court will decide what type of compensation is appropriate, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. To read more click here.
