Behavior problems are tough enough, but what about when behaviors become so out of control that one person’s actions paralyze an entire household? That’s the situation for one California family whose teen daughter literally has the run of the house because her parents are afraid of what will happen if they limit her.

    Thank you for this important article. Parents often feel alone in this type of situation. The public school system does not know how to provide appropriate services and families are left alone to cope. I hope you will follow up on whether the in-home therapy was helpful.

    This is another of many sad examples of families who have not properly been exposed to basic behavioral principles. Difficulties are readily ameliorated, properly addressed according to scientific principles well known to practitioners.
