Speculation abounds that actor John Travolta’s 16-year-old son, Jett, had autism. This, even though Travolta and his wife, actress Kelly Preston, staunchly deny that was the case.
Jett Travolta died Friday from a seizure. His parents say he had Kawasaki disease, though seizures are not typically associated with that diagnosis. In contrast, seizures are common among those with autism, reports the Boston Herald.
John Travolta’s bother, Joey, produced a documentary about autism and believes the teen had the disorder, reports The Los Angeles Times. However, John Travolta and Preston are members of the Church of Scientology, which reportedly does not recognize autism, reports WCBS, the New York CBS affiliate.
