A Family Seeks Calm Through Behavior Modification

When behavior spins out of control, it’s a slow, step-by-step process to reclaim calm. That’s what a behavior therapist says as he helps one California family cope with their 13-year-old who has autism. The crux of the change is establishing rules and teaching the girl to live with them. Up until now, her family has been so terrified by her behavior that they let her do whatever she wanted.

CNN is following the family through a week of behavior intervention in their home. This is part two.
