Air Canada Denies Girl With CP Use Of Special Seat

The mother of a child with cerebral palsy says she had to hold her daughter in place through an entire airplane flight because the flight crew would not allow the girl to use a special seat similar to a car seat.

The girl flies regularly within Canada to receive medical treatments and uses the seat to allow her to sit upright. But on a flight earlier this month on Air Canada Jazz, the head steward said the seat was not in compliance with airline’s policy.
