‘Wiggle Room’ Comes To The Rescue Of Agitated Students

Kids on the verge of an outburst have a new place to go to cool down at one Indiana school.

The school recently dedicated “A Little Wiggle Room,” which is designed to give students with disabilities a place to go if they’re feeling agitated in class. The idea is that students can release anxious energy in the Wiggle Room and then return to class ready to focus.

The Wiggle Room is a sensory-integration room, which is common at schools. But this one goes a step farther than most by incorporating therapeutic tools like a special trampoline as well as a resource library for teachers, reports the Indianapolis Star.
