While I feel like any abuse is wrong, it is the abuse of the ones who have no defense mechanism to use to defend themselves, or lack the ability to speak or communicate, or simply just don’t understand that they are being treated wrong, it is those cases of abuse and neglect that outrage me beyond anything else I’ve ever experienced in my life. Even the simple thought of someone doing this sends my mind into a mode that would make me very unpleasant to be around if you were someone who is responsible for such abuse.

Something needs to be done about this issue. Every day it continues or goes on is an absolute failure on our part as a nation to do what is good and what is right, and we should be ashamed of ourselves for not doing all we can in order to stop this kind of activity. We should actively investigate places such as the institution mentioned in this story, catch those who are doing this, and then punish them to the maximum extent possible under the law; and I do mean set a bone chilling example with all those caught so those who might consider it would not consider it seriously.
