How many more times must the scientific community prove that the world is round? This is ridiculous.

Autism Speaks does not speak for me. This completely false vaccine hysteria has already killed kids. This has to STOP.

A better question would be what vaccine-related research proposals were rejected? Perhaps those really did not have merit based on their criteria and direction. Acknowledging that vaccines are "one of a number of environmental exposures that could be studied" actually makes a lot of sense for foundational research, admittedly long overdue but a very complex idea. Also the research into possible sub-populations who may be predisposed to environmental impacts that cause autism makes sense, although admittedly the SUB is getting to be a rather large group the more we define it and survey it. Immune challenges are on the rise so we have to investigate quickly and with a remarkable precision. Perhaps it is time to put the baby before the vaccine. What is going on inside that makes them weak to the outside?
