"I’m sorry"

Okay, if you say so then you must be.

"why is this article here?"

The article is about the feelings of a woman who found she was carrying a Downs baby and of her choice to cherish him, not end the pregnancy, as is the vogue of many abortion supporting women facing the same challenge. It should be of interest of anyone who supports the rights of the disabled.

"publicity hound, Paris Hilton, empty-headed, laughable, airheaded, semi-literate"

Why bring your personal politics into the matter?

"Can someone please explain to me WHY anyone voted for her…especially the ones who put “Women for Palin” on their bumper stickers?"

Because 56 million American people realized that the policies and initiatives of the opposition would lead to 10% unemployment and the destruction of the American economy. They were willing to accept the old man and your worst nightmare than see an avowed socialist dismantling their country's institutions.

"Did you really think this airheaded semi-literate woman would be able to lead our country????"

Actually, you're darn right! And far better than the mess that the theoretician from Chicago is making of things. She was a Governor who ran the state of Alaska; he was a US Senator who only voted "Present," so his voting record couldn't be used against him. She has practical experience from business; he has read books, but he only believes the ones he likes and pretends the warnings of history don't exist.

"No wonder Americans get so little respect overseas."

Wake up. The American people are respected, loved and admired wherever they venture in the world. It is the politicians who are despised and no matter how much apologizing or bowing and supplicating is done before other leaders, that's not going to change. The rest of the world expects America's President to lead, not cower and whine.

I'm sorry but why is this article here? Sarah Palin is a publicity hound and whatever she can use to get the spotlight to shine on her some more (including her son with Down Syndrome), she will use it. She is in the same league with Paris Hilton...famous for being famous. Her empty-headed remarks during the campaign would have been laughable had she not been running for vice president. Can someone please explain to me WHY anyone voted for her...especially the ones who put "Women for Palin" on their bumper stickers? Did you really think this airheaded semi-literate woman would be able to lead our country???? No wonder Americans get so little respect overseas.
