It is simply amazing how communication works when the parts in the conversation listen to each other and compromise but in some cases stubbornness breaks the channels of communication and every body should learn a little about it with this situation from White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel when he signed the Special Olympics pledge to end use of the “r-word.” He really compromised when he signed the pledge and support on the elimination of the derogatory use of the r-word from everyday speech and promote the acceptance and inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities but it will be even better if we can extend this pledge to America.
