After watching my first son develop autism immediately after his 18 month vaccines, I knew that there was NO WAY that we would vaccinate our second. We were told by doctors that there was no connection. However, that's like throwing your baby in the pool and having your doctor say that had no connection with him drowning. The study that you bring up about Doctor Wakefield was never retracted because of incorrtect data or misrepresentation. It was removed because he was censured in a "witch hunt" after he damaged profitability of large drug companies. The only thing that they could point to when saying that he acted "irresponsibly" was that he paid children (with the parents permission) a small fee to do a blood draw at one of his childrens' birthday parties. He used these samples as his control group in a blind study. By the way, there have been 4 additional studies published in peer-reviewed, major medical journals that came to the exact same conclusion as doctor Wakefield. Numerous studies funded by drug companies to promote the use of their vaccines hold a lot less weight than what parents have seen with their own eyes.

I find it more than humorous that doctors continue to say that we don't know that what causes autism yet they "know" that it isn't vaccines. Where is the research? Where is the proof? Avoiding my youngest son's immunizations was probably the best gift I could have given him.
