Barred Doctor Continues With Questionable Autism Therapy

Despite facing discipline from licensing boards in nine states, a doctor with a controversial brand of autism therapy continues to operate at least two clinics.

Mark Geier has either lost his medical license or had it suspended in California, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Now, complaints are pending against him in Missouri, Illinois and Hawaii as well.

Nonetheless, he’s still able to practice at two of the eight clinics called ASD Centers he’s opened across the country.

Geier has written that he uses Lupron — a testosterone suppressant used in patients with prostate cancer and for chemical castration — to treat those with autism. Other doctors say there’s no evidence to support the practice and medical boards have found the hormone therapy to be dangerous and abusive, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The dosages he uses are rather higher than those indicated on-label for the castration & anti-cancer uses, IIRC. But that’s right up there with the bleach enemas and chelation–nothing’s too unhealthy if someone says it’ll help get rid of Teh Autizms.

This is one of the reasons I have little-to-no respect for people advocating for a cure.

This is what happens when a scientist/physician separates from the herd. Big Pharm and governing entities will not allow anyone to work outside their allopathic box. Ever wonder why so many with Autism, dev delays, etc? Population reduction. 7 billion people on the planet is intolerable to many very powerful international people in the world. They see us eating up valuable and limited resources like land, air, food and water.
