Cher, Jack Black, Bryan Cranston and Jim Parsons are among a handful of celebrities willing to liven up your phone’s voice mailbox as part of an autism fundraiser.

Autism Speaks is offering the chance to get a custom-recorded message from “Batman” actor Adam West, Bryan Cranston of “Breaking Bad,” singer Cher, Jim Parsons of “The Big Bang Theory,” Mark Hamill from “Star Wars,” Michael Dorn of “Star Trek,” sportscaster Vin Scully and actors Jack Black, Peter Dinklage and Zachary Quinto.

A limited number of the recordings are available in exchange for $299 each, which will go toward the autism nonprofit. Fans can specify what they want their chosen celebrity to say in the brief messages which will be delivered on digital files.

The unique fundraising effort was dreamt up by actor Ed Asner, known for his role as Lou Grant on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” and his son, Matt Asner, who works for Autism Speaks.

A similar campaign last year offered recordings from notables including Morgan Freeman, Tom Hanks, William Shatner and Betty White.

“We decided that bringing together a group of celebrities with great voices to do a kind of ‘voiceathon’ would be a fun way to raise awareness and funds for the autism community,” Ed Asner said. “The campaign was such an overwhelming success and received so much positive feedback we had to do it again.”
