We have developed this Privacy Policy to explain the types of information we collect from our users, the reasons we collect this information, how we utilize this information once we have collected it, and to disclose any third parties this information is shared with. 1. Types of Information Collected:
(a) IP Addresses: This series of numbers assigned to your computer is automatically collected each time you visit our site. This information is not collected in connection with any personally identifiable data about you, such as your email address or name. We use IP addresses only to investigate misuses of Disability Scoop, and to comply with the requests of law enforcement or court orders.
(b) Personal Information: We do not share or sell personal information with third parties without your consent except as provided in this Privacy Policy. When you register to become a subscriber of Disability Scoop you will be asked to provide some personal information required for use by Disability Scoop, LLC including your name, gender, year of birth, email address, and mailing address, along with a self-created username and password. We offer an “Email This Story” feature, which allows users to send a story or other Disability Scoop content to a friend. In order to provide this feature, we require names and email addresses for the sender and recipient. These names and email addresses may be stored by Disability Scoop. Additionally the “Email This Story” feature gives users the option to insert a message or remarks to share with the recipient of the email. Such messages or remarks may be stored by Disability Scoop. Such personal information may be collected in the aggregate (i.e. not shared on an individual basis) to provide data to outside entities about Web Site users collectively. By registering to become a subscriber, you will receive eMail News and other announcements from us. Subscription to eMail News is completely voluntary, and users may choose to unsubscribe from this service at any time by using the “Change email address/ Leave mailing list” option at the bottom of every issue of eMail News or by contacting us. Whenever we collect this personal information, we make an effort to include a link to this Privacy Policy.
(c) Statistical Information: We may conduct voluntary polls and/or surveys of Web Site users to better understand the audience we serve. Information culled from such polls and/or surveys may be compiled and shared with outside entities, but no personally identifiable information will be released.
(d) Cookies: We use cookies to monitor the features on Disability Scoop that users use, the content and web sites that our users link to and the time spent at a particular web site. Likewise, any links or third party content including advertisements displayed and/or served on the Web Site may incorporate the use of web beacons and/or cookies, in order to collect data and other user information. Additionally, from time to time, Google, as a third party vendor may display and/or serve advertisements on the Web Site that incorporate the use of DART cookies that enable Google to serve advertisements based on users visits to the Web Site and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of the use of DART cookies by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.

We will disclose personal information and/or an IP address:
(a) To contact you regarding our services and news that may be of interest to you. However, you may opt out of these announcements at any time.
(b) When required by law or by court order, or in the good-faith belief that such contact is necessary in order to:
i. Cooperate with the investigation of alleged unlawful conduct and/or comply with legal process served on Disability Scoop, LLC.
ii. Protect and defend the intellectual property and rights associated therein.
(c) With your consent to share such information.

3. By using our Web Site you consent to the collection and use of information by us as specified above. Disability Scoop makes comments and discussion forums available to its users. Disability Scoop also provides opportunities for readers to submit questions and other submissions. Any information submitted to Disability Scoop may be made publicly available. Please be careful not to tell too much about yourself. Remember that you are ultimately responsible for any personal information you post online.
