Whether or not Sarah Palin’s vice presidential run is successful in yielding changes for people with disabilities, those impacted by Down syndrome are hoping Palin’s talk about her son, who has the disorder, will at least bring awareness. Too often, advocates say, women told they are carrying a baby with Down syndrome are not informed of the positives of having a child with the disability, according to The Star-Ledger.
