Disability advocates in Colorado are pushing a new type of state funding plan for the long-term care of people with developmental disabilities. The proposal seeks to establish investment funds whereby the state would contribute money to an individual’s fund proportional to the amount invested by others. The Colorado proposal is similar to an existing program in Washington state where the state kicks in 25 cents for each dollar invested, reports the Denver Post. To read more click here.
