A 22-year-old New York man with cerebral palsy spent 19 hours stranded overnight on a bus that was supposed to bring him home from a day program for adults with special needs. Because he has difficulty communicating, he was unable to alert anyone that he remained seat belted on the bus at the depot. Temperatures dipped below 20 degrees leaving the man with blue fingers and shivering, reports The New York Times. Now, the bus matron is charged with reckless endangerment. Police allege that she knew the man was asleep on the bus, but failed to alert the driver of his presence, reports CNN. To read more click here and here.
