Forget dogs. Service animals are taking on a whole new meaning these days. People are relying on everything from horses to monkeys to goats, parrots, cats and pigs to help them out. But not everyone is pleased with farm animals perusing Starbucks, groceries and other staples of the human world, reports The New York Times Magazine. And, in fact, the discontent is so strong that the Department of Justice recently proposed new regulations, which would restrict the definition of service animal to “dog or other common domestic animal.” To read more click here.
