Donor Makes Inauguration Reality For Adults With Disabilities
Five Kansas adults with disabilities are headed to the presidential inauguration thanks to a businessman who spent $1 million to rent hotel rooms so that people who are poor, homeless or have disabilities can attend.
The Kansas group raised $5,000 themselves to rent vans and cover other costs of the trip. They will be able to watch the inaugural parade from the roof of their hotel. And, they will received tuxedos and gowns as well as hair and make-up provided by DC-area businesses before attending an inaugural ball, reports The Wichita News.
