As state budget woes continue, so too do cuts to services for people with disabilities. Here’s a look at the current situation:

• In Virginia, budget cut proposals include chopping 200 from the state’s mental retardation waiver, reports the Richmond Times-Dispatch. To read more click here. Meanwhile, the state plans to shutter institutions at the end of June and it’s not clear where all of the current residents will go, reports the Associated Press.
