Canada’s largest airlines will provide people with disabilities two seats for the price of one beginning in January.

The extra seat will be available for those who need an assistant with them in flight because of a disability. Also, people who are obese to the point that it is disabling will qualify for an extra seat at no charge.

The move follows a federal order from the Canadian Transportation Agency, which the airlines tried unsuccessfully to get overturned by the courts.

The new policy will only apply to flights within Canada, reports Canwest News Service. To read more click here.
