Autism seems to be everywhere these days and now the disorder is even touching television’s “Real Housewives.”

Jacqueline Laurita of Bravo’s “Real Housewives of New Jersey” reveals in this week’s People magazine that her 3-year-old son has autism.

Despite sharing much of her life on reality TV, Laurita says that she hid her son Nicholas from the cameras as he regressed, losing speech, motor and other skills.

Admittedly, Laurita’s husband says the couple didn’t want to believe that their son was anything but healthy.

“I worry about him being independent when he’s older,” Laurita told the magazine. “I spend all my time researching what we can do for him.”
