A new hotel that’s designed to provide disability accommodations far beyond what’s required by the Americans with Disabilities Act is about to become reality.
The property known as Morgan’s Hotel is breaking ground in San Antonio.
Those behind the venture say the hotel will offer a new standard of hospitality they’ve dubbed “ultra-accommodating” that will cater to people of all ages and abilities by providing an individually tailored experience at an affordable price.

Once reservations are made, guests will interface with an AI concierge to detail their wants and needs so that appropriate arrangements can be made before arrival. The property itself will feature oversized rooms, extra-wide hallways, voice-activated controls to allow for maximum independence and specially trained staff, among other offerings.
“At Morgan’s Hotel, we believe hospitality should be for everyone — without exception,” said Gordon Hartman, founder of Morgan’s. “This groundbreaking isn’t just the start of construction, it’s the start of a movement that redefines what it means to be truly welcoming in the hotel industry.”
The hotel is located near Morgan’s Wonderland, a one-of-a-kind theme park that’s fully accessible to people with disabilities. Hartman was inspired by his daughter Morgan, who has disabilities, to create the theme park, which opened in 2010. Since then, Morgan’s has expanded to include a water park, a camp and other facilities that are inclusive to people regardless of their abilities.
Initially, Morgan’s was in talks with Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt and other major brands in the hospitality industry, but currently the nonprofit is moving forward on its own to establish the hotel as an independent boutique property.
“What sets us apart is our expertise in building spaces that accommodate people of all abilities,” Morgan’s said in a statement. “We look forward to sharing our unique approach with the broader hospitality community in the years ahead. The door to franchising remains open, and we’re excited for what the future holds.”
Morgan’s Hotel is expected to be completed in fall 2026.
